Police in Dodoma region arrested Hassan Abdalah, a resident of Gairo district, in Morogoro on charges of providing health services including medical and surgical care without having a medical certificate.
The incident was confirmed by police commander Dodoma Giles Muroto, who said, the man has been operating at various district hospitals in the area.
"The brother has no certificate and has been performing a small surgery for people with swelling and ulcer and has admitted in the interview that he has been doing so through private hospitals," he said.In addition Muroto has noted that the Police Force is continuing with interviews with Mr. Hassan to find out why he does this job without having a profession that is a threat to human health. He also appealed to the people to continue reporting to the police force on people who have no good conduct in the community because these actions have no place within the Dodoma region.
